The Urban Tavern “Pay What You Think It’s Worth” Lunch Promotion

Urban Tavern in downtown San Francisco has announced a limited time “pay what you think it’s worth” promotion to herald the introduction of the restaurant’s new summer lunch menu.

During the week of June 8th to the 12th (Monday through Friday) from 11.30 AM to 2.30 PM, Urban Tavern is inviting diners to join them for lunch, eat up to a three course meal and then pay what they think it’s worth. The restaurant will serve up to 100 people per day for this promotion and reservations are required. Guest will be asked at the end of their meal to say what they should be charged and the server will ring up that amount, plus tax. Lunch can include food, soft drinks, coffee and tea but not alcohol.

In addition, the existing offer of five hours of free parking while dining will also be valid during this time, plus the Dine About Town lunch menu will be available.

Urban Tavern serves American gastropub cuisine prepared with seasonal, fresh, often locally sourced organic ingredients. All Urban Tavern menus are created by a culinary team headed up by Executive Chef Mary O’Neill.

The interior design at Urban Tavern is the creation of restaurateur Donna Scala and Gensler Design. Highlights include a striking full-size horse sculpture by Arizona artist Doug Owen welded together from tractor, motorcycle and car parts, underscoring Urban Tavern’s green sensibilities while juxtaposing old and new, rural and urban - elements found throughout the restaurant. Also notable are the intimate booths, reclaimed wood beams and claddings, a communal table made from a recovered fallen tree, plaster walls, exposed concrete, a marble-topped bar and saddle-shaped bar stools.

Urban Tavern is located at 333 O’Farrell Street near Mason Street in downtown San Francisco, California. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch (as of June 8) and dinner.
