Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto Showcases Premier Beers At March 22nd Beer Dinner
Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto in Berkeley has announced a Beer Dinner to be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009, beginning at 6:30 PM.
The evening’s prix fixe menu, prepared by Spenger's Executive Chef Devon Boisen, will consist of five courses each paired with the perfect beer. Guests will enjoy Baked Quahog Clams with House Cured Pancetta and Caramelized Baby Fennel and Onion Paired with Amstel; Grilled Local Lodi Asparagus with Shaved Parmesan Grana Padano and White Truffle Infused Napa Valley EVOO paired with Carlsberg; first of the season Alaskan Halibut crusted with Mushroom Dust with Hollister Pea Tendrils and Creamed Risotto paired with Trumer Pils; James Ranch Grilled Lamb Chops with Purple Grape Mustard and Iacopi Farms Butter Bean Ragout paired with Anchor Steam Beer; and Sticky Toffee Pudding with Homemade Bailey’s Irish Crème Anglaise and Spun Sugar paired with Guinness Stout.
