Urban Tavern to Host Samuel Adams Beer Dinner on March 24

San Francisco, CA /March 2009 – Urban Tavern in downtown San Francisco will host a $45.00 six-course prix fixe Samuel Adams beer paired dinner on Wednesday, March 24 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The restaurant’s regular a la carte menu will also be available.
The special dinner includes 5 hours of complimentary parking at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Urban Tavern serves American gastropub cuisine prepared with seasonal, fresh, often locally sourced organic ingredients.
Highlights of Urban Tavern's interior design include a striking full-size horse sculpture by Arizona artist Doug Owen welded together from tractor, motorcycle and car parts, underscoring Urban Tavern’s green sensibilities while juxtaposing old and new, rural and urban - elements found throughout the restaurant. Also notable are the intimate booths, reclaimed wood beams and claddings, a communal table made from a recovered fallen tree, plaster walls, exposed concrete, a marble-topped bar and saddle-shaped bar stools.

National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on April 22
On Thursday, April 22, 2010, Spenger’s Fresh Fish Grotto will honor National Take Our
Daughters and Sons to Work Day by offering a free lunch entrée to all children who come to the restaurant between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended.
In addition, at 1:00 p.m., Spenger’s Executive Chef Devon Boisen, dubbed “Best Showman Chef” by the East Bay Express, will conduct a cooking demonstration designed to entertain a young audience, compliments of Spenger’s.
The food and demo are offered by Chef Boisen and Spenger’s General Manager Richard Villarreal because they believe strongly in inspiring children to believe in themselves, because in doing so, they can accomplish great things.
